Case Background
The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) works to reduce traffic crashes, deaths and injuries through the implementation of programs with state agencies, local governments, state and local law enforcement, and other non-profit groups. GOHS website, gahighwaysafety.org, was built over 10 years ago and could only be viewed on a desktop computer. The website was also not compliant with state Cyber Security policies and ADA. Scope IT was awarded the contract to update its website.
Implementation Overview
Scope IT reviewed existing content, created mind maps, and met with GOHS staff to suggest various design options for their new site. Once a new design was finalized, Scope IT moved the current website contents to the latest version of WordPress allowing GOHS to easily maintain and update the website going forward. Scope IT also designed sub-sites for Georgia Driver’s Education Commission (GDEC) as part of this project.
Results
Scope IT not only updated the website to the latest version of WordPress but also upgraded the site with several brand-new features such as Shopping Cart that allowed for inventory management, ordering, and sales of highway safety related literature.
